It started with three houses and a question we couldn’t walk away from.
We came to Prairie View to invest in real estate. What we discovered on Bledsoe Street transformed a commercial transaction into a lifelong Christ-centered covenant with Waller County’s young adults.
We came to Prairie View to invest in real estate. We broke the first rule and bought three houses at once, and when we walked through them we found conditions no one should be living in — a mile from a university, in a town with no grocery store and no clinic.
“Our own daughter was living off campus with everything she needed. These students had nothing. How do you see that and walk away?”
So we renovated. Then we started renting by the room, and we met the young people behind the leases — carrying debt, carrying trauma, carrying all of it alone. Sandra, who had spent a career in foster care and transitional housing and who founded Angel Reach in Conroe, came on to help us finish the renovations.
The turning point

Seed 2 Harvest Community Outreach came out of that recognition. What began as supportive student housing became something wider: a civic safety net for any young adult in this county who is trying to get from where they were to where they want to be.

An acorn, an oak, and the one who holds it together
Our logo is a tree: an acorn that became an oak, roots holding fast below and fruit forming above, with the figure of Christ at its center.
It is the whole ministry in one image — small beginnings, deep roots, and a harvest that belongs to God. In an era of short-term fixes, the oak reminds us that human flourishing requires patience, structural nourishment, and immovable grounding.

Where the nonprofit ends and the businesses begin
Seed 2 Harvest Community Outreach is an independent 501(c)(3) governed by its own board. Three separate for-profit companies share our founders and our name: Harvest Oaks (supportive housing), S2 Property Management, and Harvest Innovative Solutions (construction and renovation).
Some of our participants live in Harvest Oaks properties. Many don’t — we place people wherever the housing is right for them. Living in our founders’ housing is never a condition of our support, and being a participant is never a condition of renting from them.
We keep the line bright on purpose, because you should be able to see exactly where your gift goes.
